Broken font in the virtual machine vs code terminal on courses

as you can see the font is broken and barely readable.
i tried resizing the terminal, different browsers (chrome and edge) as well as changing the font in vs code settings but since i dont know which fonts are installed i dont really know what to change it to. It happens in every vm not just one course.
