Console not showing up in html/css course

Hi guys, I’ve been working on the Responsive Web Design course and I’ve reached the ‘Learn CSS Variables by Building a City Skyline’ challenge. But for some reason when I started this challenge the console and html doc are not showing up. There are no instructions showing up and there is nowhere for me to write any code. I tried refreshing, clearing cache, rebooting chrome but still nothing. And if I go back to previous challenges it does the same thing - no console/index.html/styles.css or instructions showing up.

But the course still works on mobile from the freeCodeCamp mobile app but not on my pc.

Has anyone had this problem before and sorted it out?

Hi there,

Try to click on the index.html, Console, Preview buttons to toggle them on and off.

Can you try updating the browser and maybe logging out then in again?

Also after that, try incognito mode too.

I tried multiple times but still nothing

Also download a different browser to test with like Firefox.

Thanks so much! I just installed Firefox and tried it on there and it works. But still not working on Chrome for some reason. I guess I’ll just use it on Firefox from now on until it works again on Chrome. Appreciate the help!

Try uninstalling chrome and reinstalling it. Maybe you installed an extension there that is messing things up.
