they are not disappearing, but the total number will stop at 365

I love the daily coding challenges and they were the reason I logged into the website every day. Too bad there wonā€™t be more of them.

Maybe ā€œin the futureā€ could be next year, not this month. According to the comment, the possibility remains open.

Just some further context here: we have created 365 daily challenges.

This was a ton of work for @moT01 and he did an awesome job, and @estefaniacassn and everyone who helped him.

This said, we have sooo many things we want to build, and we only have one Tom.

365 challenges feels like itā€™s going to be enough for like 99% of people. You can still do one per day, and complete them all.

Iā€™m very grateful to @moT01, @estefaniacassn and everyone else who contributed to building the daily challenges and the fact that Iā€™m sad there wonā€™t be more of them just goes to show what an amazing job they did in building this feature.

The challenges are varied, satisfying to complete and the quality is top notch.

Iā€™ve enjoyed having the Daily Coding Challenges as a small, regular way to keep practicing JavaScript and Python. Iā€™m sorry to see them sunset, and I hope the archive remains easy to browse for continued practice.

Sunsetting the Daily Coding Challenges means no new challenges will be added (for now).

Instead they will loop using the previous challenges. Scrolling to the start of the calendar displays the challenges for the rest of the month.

Thatā€™s good to know.

I misunderstood ā€œsunsetā€ as meaning the Daily Coding Challenges would disappear completely. Keeping the existing archive alive and rotating previous challenges is a much better outcome.

Thanks for the clarification, and thanks to everyone who created these challenges. Theyā€™ve been a fun way to practice consistently.

Yea, Iā€™m sad to not be making any new ones anymore - but they were a lot of work to create. Some of the daily challenges were comparable in size to some of the smaller labs - those often take a week or two to create. We were trying to make one per day. It was difficult to keep up.

With us having a single challenge for every day (although not new), I think a lot of people will still come around to complete them - and you didnā€™t hear it from me, but we may at some point add something special to give to people to who complete them all :shushing_face:

Itā€™s sad to see the Daily Coding Challenges coming to an end. Theyā€™ve been a great way to practice consistently, learn new concepts, and stay motivated with coding.

Hopefully, freeCodeCamp will preserve the existing challenges and consider bringing back a similar daily practice format in the future. Thanks to everyone who contributed to making the challenges valuable for the community!

The Daily Coding Challenges are here to stay. Sunsetting means no new challenges will be added. Instead the existing 365 challenges will begin a new cycle.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the polls.

Looks like two survey respondents kept pace with the challenges. Several made very good progress.

There was an even division between JavaScript and Python.

Maybe schedule time to do one challenge per week, whether JavaScript or Python, or both. Doing challenges like these can help sharpen your programming and problem solving skills. They help you grow by giving you an opportunity to stretch your potential.

Thatā€™s an interesting idea! Maybe have a more difficult challenge every week or even month. It doesnā€™t even have to be on a strict schedule. Just publish a new challenge when itā€™s ready. But it would have to be a bit more difficult to compensate for the longer time interval.

Another idea would be to add another language to the existing daily challenges (maybe C# or something else). It was very interesting for me to solve the same challenge in both JavaScript and Python and see the differences on how each language was designed to handle a certain programming paradigm.
