I’m still very much a learner, myself, and I’m not a very good player, but I know I’ve seen chess posts on the fCC blog, so I wondered if any others here still play?
I play on the chess.com app. My ranks aren’t great, but it’s fun. I played when I was young and then saw a friend playing on the app a few years ago and it reminded how I used to enjoy it - so I picked it back up again. Do you play on that app?
I’ve played with chess.com a little, but the spam of ‘subscribe to get more!’ notices kinda drove me a bit nuts. xD;
I do have their Dr. Wolf app, though. =)
I’ll admit I tend to prefer practising with the app more than playing with other players – the few times I’ve ventured into playing with others, I tended to find myself swiftly outplayed and checkmated within only a couple of moves. Sometimes, the same player would challenge me over and over again, probably to push their ranking up. ^^;;
I like the app, though. Much like the chess.com computer-coaches, Dr. Wolf advises and offers encouragement while playing, and there are tutorials as well. =)
Yes I play and my fav piece is the knight !!!
I play chess too. Though not quite often, but am skilled to a degree. 
This chess.com am just hearing it for the first time, going to check it out later.
