Is it posible to learn how to code and got a remote job offer?

I learned Java for two weeks, and now I’m struggling if I should continue. I really want to got a remote job offer, and I searched some remote jobs. Most jobs require job experiences and only need senior engineers. Looks like this is a dead end. Is there someone who succeed achieving that? Can somebody gives me some advices? Which one is easier to get a remote job, backend or frontend? Thanks for your replying.

Yes, it’s possible.

Keep learning, build some projects, look for freelance work, have a killer demo website, decide if you like frontend or backend better, go to conferences and meetups, learn, meet people, take classes, do self study, hire a tutor and do whatever it takes.

Try to apply for jobs in 3 years.

Two weeks? You are probably more than a year away from having the skills to qualify for a developer job, remote or otherwise (and remote jobs are more competitive). It takes thousands of hours of coding to have the baseline skills and experience for a entry-level developer job.

It is possible to learn to code. It is possible to get a remote job offer. Many of us on this forum learned to code and now work remotely. It is not possible to do it in two weeks.

Thank you for replying. I personally don’t have preference over frontend or backend, I just want to know which one is easier to get a job, in other words, which one hires more people than the other? And may I ask how to attend a conference or a meetup? I have never heard or known of them. Thanks again.

Thank you for replying. It really strong my faith. So now the only problem is I am not getting enough skills to get a job. And you say remote jobs are more competitive, does that mean I have to work offline first, get familiar with coding and learn how to cooperate first, and then find a remote job? Can I get a remtoe job at the first beging?

Who knows what it will be like in a year or two when you are actually applying for jobs. Right now what I mean by “more competitive” is literally that. There is more competition. More people want remote jobs so you are competing with a higher number of candidates, including a higher number of skilled candidates.
