Issues with Product Landing Page #12

I’m having an issue with #12 on Product Landing Page. From what I can tell, this should be working, but I’m probably very wrong ! :rofl:

This is what I have:

 <input type="email" id="email" required placeholder="please insert your email!">
  <button id="submit">Enter Email!</button>
    </form>

Ive tried several different things. Ive tried wrapping a link around the button and putting the link in there. I tried putting it in the input and still nothing. After doing some digging I found some answers on this exact issue, and from what I can tell this should work?

Submit is a -type- of input. Giving a button an id of “submit” doesn’t make it actually submit the form.

        <input type="submit" id="submit" value="Enter Email!">

@kevindkasey, I see someone has given you the answer but in the future when a test fails click the red button to see which test(s) are failing and text to help you correct the issue.
Be sure and read more than just the first line of the failing message. The ability to read and comprehend error messages is a skill you’ll need to acquire as a developer. Ask questions on what you don’t understand.
