The most important thing for self taught developers is the portfolio.
That is going to be your showcase for your projects.
Make sure to build projects that are unique and show the best of your abilities.
When it comes to looking for work, I would suggest reading up on the job process like how to write a strong resume, how to put together a strong portfolio, etc.
