Tell us what’s happening:

Step 3 when I enter “Dev Containers: Rebuild and Reopen in Container” into the command pallette, it does not open a new VS code window. Instead, it asks me to “Select a container configuration template or enter a custom template id” and lists >10 different templates. No new windows opened. This is before the course even begins, just the how to start part.

I asked chatgpt and it said I probably wasn’t in the rdb-alpha folder, which seemed to do the trick.

unfortunately when people work locally, it is hard for us to guess which step they skipped. (needs a lot of back and forth to figure something out)
