Learn HTML by Building a Cat Photo App - Step 46

Tell us what’s happening: Step 46: no longer shows the directions on what to do next.
Describe your issue in detail here.
When I originally started this lesson step 46 had the directions for completing this step. I clicked something and now it will not show the directions anymore. I don’t know how to get those directions back on the screen? I even started the course over to see if it would work, it didn’t. On the page where it lists all steps, that tile is blacked out. The others are still blue.

Learning to describe problems is hard, but it is an important part of learning how to code.
Also, the more you say, the more we can help!

Welcome to the community @Creggt1 !

I am not sure if this will help.
Try a different browser maybe, or any of the following.

  • Reset step
  • Refresh page (F5)
  • Some browser extensions, such as ad-blockers and dark mode extensions can interfere with the tests.
  • If you are having problems, recommendation is to disable extensions that modify the content or layout of pages, while taking the course.

I hope something here is able to help you.

I tried everything except the adblocker/extension. Not sure if I have one or not. They didn’t work unfortunately. Thanks for your help. I am past that step, so I can continue. Hopefully it will give me the certificate since I did originally do that step. Worst case I will just log completely out and reset the entire course. I actually started over because I am a beginner and once I got to about step 58, it was confusing. So I went back over the same things it made much more sense the second time. I am trying to learn it after all. Thanks again for your help. Have a great day.

Good to hear you have been able to get past the step.

You can get your certificate without needing to do the full course, as long as you can pass the projects with your own code as per the various projects.

Happy coding!
