@BrendanC8450 Really!

What is ā€œAds codesā€? Sorry, I do not know. :sweat_smile:

Well, right now I feel like a have learned a great of primary front-end design. I think the next step for me is to advance my JavaScript skills through React and Angular. Afterward, likely going to learn machine learning with Python or MongoDB. :sweat_smile: :grinning:

@katfrisb33

Thank you for all the kind words! :grin:

Let me first explain how I use FCC… I mainly use it because of the forums now, but also because of the projects. I think it is helpful going over the lessons but as I was working on the JavaScript Section on FCC, I was still finishing the Responsive Web Design Projects.

Firstly, you NEED to learn CSS Flexbox and CSS Grid. FCC does a decent job but I recommend some reinforcement from other sources: YouTube is probably your best bet.

Here are two great videos from two amazing content creators:

Next, I came across a fellow camper’s tribute page. It included advanced concepts like BEM and SCSS. I depend on these two things SO MUCH! :grin: Here is a link to the forum post.

And I did some googling and learned how to take advantage of SCSS to make writing CSS more elegant and versatile. Here is a free course on Udemy on SASS.

If you want to see what I learned, I explain it in the read me file of this GitHub Repository of my tribute page project. :wink:

Finally, here I am! :grin:
I wish the best luck to you! Happy Coding!

It doesn’t look bad but it’s definitely not responsive. Keep in mind the majority of traffic today will be viewing your site from a mobile device. Given that, you should probably make more effort to optimize for a phone screen.

Wow!
How long have you been learning front end development? That is one slick portfolio design.

Your portfolio is **AMAZING!**In terms of design principles, it is just perfect - the colour choices, the typography. Your animation is very entertaining and it was nice to see different animation styles every time I scroll down to a different section, so that is definitely engaging.

So, a very big well done to your hard work and keep it up! :+1:

However, there is one little tiny thing I have noticed when I viewed your portfolio on my mobile device, your body text appears to be small. I would suggest making them bigger based on the standards of readability and accessibility. Other than that, you are good to go.

Happy coding and designing! :v:

I totally agree with you! Being a mobile-first developer is something many front-end developers and designers try to adopt. :grinning:

@Madalena.design

It really is great to hear that and I am very grateful, thank you! :grin:

I agree with you! The font-size has been increased and should be good now. :sweat_smile:

@ajj-siraj

Thank you so much!

Well, I learn coding on the side, more like a hobby rather than trying to get a job. So I have been practicing for 4-5 months. But anyway, as long as you have the focus, motivation, and inspiration I know that you will become even BETTER! :grin: :wink:

That is awesome for 4-5 months of learning.
I have been learning for longer, perhaps a year, but I have been going at a snail’s pace and took a lot of ā€œbreaksā€ that forced me to re-learn a lot of basic stuff and waste time.
Seeing your portfolio has inspired me though, really. I will be picking up the pace from now on.

I am really glad my project has had a positive impact on others. I wish you the best of luck and can’t wait to see what you do! :wink:

Let me know you ever need help on anything! :grinning:

Hey Coders!

I was wondering if I should open the form so people can contact me… I would first need to put information in some parts where there is Lorem ipsum text… but that’s not a major problem for me

Right now the form has onsubmit=false. How would I make it so it would send it somewhere else? Should I be sending it to my personal email? But I’m not sure whether it would be prone to spam…

Any help would be appreciated. :grinning:

This is by far the best portfolio I’ve seen on FCC. This is how you define a real developer. Kudos man, you have done well.

You spoil me too much :sweat_smile:

Thank you for all the kind words :grin:

impressive i think i could use you for a mentor if you don’t mind:smiley:

@poulmwangi if you are referring to me… sure I would love to… just let me know :grin:
