Open source projects for starters

Hello there!

I am new to the field of open source and would like to get started with new contributions. I would like some open sugestions on starting with some simple open source projects and how to proceed with them.
Skills:
I know C/C++,Python,HTML,CSS,SQL and basics of javascript.
How do I get started?
Please give me some suggestions for the same .
