Personal Portfolio - Give your feedback :)

Hi! I’ve just finished my personal portfolio project. Please, give your fedback on disign and code.
Ready for constructive critic that will help to improve skills.

Here’s a link: http://codepen.io/ann_ko/full/mEXjNz/

  1. Love the “intro” screen (the one with the picture. Don’t know what to call it haha.) and the fade!
  2. Not a fan of the orange or the color scheme in general, though that may just be a personal preference. I don’t really like orange as a color and I feel like it clashes a bit with the blue and purple.
  3. I personally favor smooth scrolling (can be implemented via jQuery) over the standard “click on a link and it goes there,” but again, personal preference.
  4. Also not required but very convenient for the user–when the screen is small and you click on the nav bar icon, maybe think about auto-collapsing it to make the user’s life easier. How to do this is pretty google-able, if you need help, let me know!
  5. Responsiveness is great! Something you might think about: there is absolutely no margin between the collapsed nav bar and the side and the nav bar title and the side and it looks a little…eh.

Basically, things are functional and the essentials are there, all of my comments are pretty much little design things that make the UX a little better or that I personally (aka you don’t have to agree with me!) think look better.

very nice … looks really good at full size … few problems at smaller size as bethqiang [quote=“bethqiang, post:2, topic:22407”]

also when i make it small and the nav button appears the header drops about 5px from top … and some of the placeholders loose padding between them.
like bethqiang states i would also like to see auto collapsing of the nav bar when you click on a option.
but those points aside a very nicely done page
