Hello there,

I am slightly very biased, but here are my two cents:

  • jQuery is pointless for new code
    • Learn jQuery if you know you will be working on legacy projects with jQuery in it
    • Avoid jQuery with every fibre of your being :laughing: , otherwise.
  • React is not directly comparable to jQuery

jQuery solved a problem with the JavaScript API over 1 decade ago. JavaScript (in the browser) has come a long way since then, and is far more capable.

  • Do the jobs you are applying for specifically ask for jQuery as a skill?
