Tribute page- almost completed the page except for the linking of an banner image

unable to link image from dropbox or google images or anywhere. tried a lot . How shall I link image from google?

Do you have a CodePen project you could link to? Also, please post the link to the image you are trying to use.

yes ofcourse, this is the link http://codepen.io/sweta_sharan/pen/jVPzYy?editors=1100

It seems Wikipedia doesn’t want people to directly link their photos in CodePen. I was able to get it to work by hosting the photo in my Dropbox’s public folder. What happened when you tried that?

I couldn’t see the image by that way, too. Would you please direct me how to link images from Dropbox? May be my process was wrong. Not sure about it.

Sure. Go to Dropbox.com and make sure you’re logged in. Upload the file you want to share, if needed, by clicking on the Upload button near the top of the screen.

You don’t need to upload to any particular folder. Old farts like me stick to the Public folder, but it’s not necessary.

Once you have the file uploaded, hover your mouse over it on the site. You’ll see the Share button pop up on the right.

Click that and you’ll see the share options. You’re interested in the line that says “Create a link”

Click that and the share link will be created for you.

You’ll need to click on Show link

That is the link you’ll need for your image source. Copy that into your markup and you’ll be set.

Let me know if you need anything else!
