Welcome to freeCodeCamp's forum

Hi Team,

This is Karthikeyan
I am here to learn coding and explore new technologies to develop something meaningful for me.
I have been learning new things

Hi I’m Eugene,

Learning to code to improve employability. I’ve been learning through FCC!

Hey

I’m Jim, a graphic designer for print and web, based in Battle, Sussex UK.
I’m learning from this course to polish up my current standards of code.
I previously used TreeHouse, but didn’t get along with the video and question style approach, preferring the ā€˜learn by doing’ that FreeCodeCamp use.

cheers
Jim

I’m Tracey, looking to reinforce what I learned at bootcamp, and hoping to find work as a front end dev.

Hi, my name is Elena, currently I’m living in Russia. At the beggining of my self-education i wanted to work as a front-end dev, but now i wanna become a full-stack dev. FreeCodeCamp, gyus, you are awesome, thank you so much for creating this education portal. xoxo

Hello everyone, my name is Ahcene, i am 27 years old, from Algiers, Algeria.
I studied french literature at the university and i got my bachelor-s degree in it 3 years ago, i wasn’t really lucky about finding a job here with my studies, i just got some experiences in education (i teached french in 5 elementary schools) then i’v been a logistic facilitator and ended up as a receptionist in a hotel, i always felt that i am not doing the right thing, that i should do a work that i like that i can complete with love and not only with my sens of duty, so here i am starting to learn coding, i just reached the jQuery section in a period of 8 days, i really like it i am planning to go forward on it, i want to learn how to create 3D animations and games using 3ds max and Unreal Engine, i want to do something that i love for living, it is a shame that here in Algeria, potentials are limited, people can’t expand thier skills to the maximum point for many reasons and this is why i am planning to learn all this, maybe i will be able to travel and work in an other country, do my best and be successful.

Hey everyone,

I’m glad I got this far and I’m psyched to keep going!
I’m learning to code because I think it’s the future and I want to be in this industry.
So far I’ve been doing the CS50 course at Harvard through edX, currently on week 10!

Hi everybody,

Hope you are doing good. I am Mo and I am history major from the Netherlands. I like my studies but the future in my field looks very grim so I started to orient myself it Software Development. So no better place to start than FreeCodeCamp, no?
I have been at the challenges for week now and so far its enjoyable.

I hope to be a jedi-level coder in the near future, but first learn html and css.

Have a great day!

Hello, ya’ll. My name is Dustin. I am 36 years old, and I have been working for a small company for a few years producing automated word templates. My initial function was editorial, but over time I learned the basic language and conditioning logic employed by the software we used (HotDocs). I decided that it would be in my best interest if I learned the more widely-used languages in addition to the niche visual interface with which I was becoming fluent.

A family member who recently graduated with a degree in CS and I have been able to talk tech and programming for a while, but I was always below his comprehension. When he told me about a team he was putting together to explore the booming blockchain tech (Ethereum, Stratis, etc.), as well as the potential changes this tech meant for the global marketplace, I decided it was time to stop talking about learning to code and start learning.

I downloaded an app for my phone (SoloLearn), which I have enjoyed using to learn Java. I chose that language because it was the language my old CS coursework began with over a decade ago. My plan was to move from Java to Javascript and C# based on some advise I was given by the team. I also signed up for Codecadmey, and was about to begin using their site when I discovered a graph demonstrating what ā€œNew Codersā€ were using to learn. freeCodeCamp was at the top of the list. That night I made an account and started.

I look forward to learning as much as I can, securing my position with my company, and learning to contribute to upcoming projects in innovative ways beyond my current capacity.

Hello, my name is Chris Jones, and I’m primarily a self taught developer. I enjoy learning to code because it allows me to bring life to the ideas I have. I’ve been primarily learning to code by asking questions, and asking more questions, and doing lots of google searches. So far I’m enjoying the freeCodeCamp experience, and look forward to working my way through some exercises.

And keep up the awesome work freeCodeCamp team

Hi All

Myself Ravi here. Looking forward to learning full stack development.

Thanks

Hi everyone,

I’m an IT teacher in the Cayman Islands and looking to improve my teaching, and myself.
I’m learning to give myself more opportunities in life and see where it takes me.
I’ve been sticking with FCC and am pleased I’ve been able to get most of the challenges so far without too much searching

Hello Campers,

I’m Walther. I work in IT in the Phoenix metro area. I’ve been in the IT industry for a little over a decade but haven’t coded much in my career.

I’m learning to code because eventually I want to move to a DevOps position since I already have some experience in the Ops side.

I’ve been learning to code mainly through books.

Hello there!

Hi everyone!

My name is Chris. I got a CS degree a long time ago and then went into law. I’m re-learning how to code now. I’m using online tutorials, and so far freecodecamp seems like the most useful one, although I’m also interested to see how the LambdaSchool free minicamp goes tonight. I live in Austin. Y’all have a good day.

Chris

Hi. My name is Ante. I’m learning code because I want to get a good job wich I’ll love because I’m tired of being a waiter and It’s wearing me out. Hopefully I’ll become a good web dev. I’ve been learning to code using freecodecamp.

Hi Ante! I waited tables for 12 years, so I definitely feel your pain. It’s worth all the hard work–having nights and weekends off is amazing. You can do it!

Chris

Hello!

My name is Topher, I’m a relapsing attemptor of learning to code… I created accounts with intention to learn on so many different platforms and am currently settling for this one. SO FAR SO GOOD!

I am truly enjoying freeCodeCamp and the community has been great! I look forward to progressing and finally reaching my goal to becoming a web developer or other developer…

I am hoping to use what I learn to get a much better job and eventually set myself up to where I can work from home and stay with my growing family. I am currently planning a wedding and we’ve been talking about kids in the near future. It would be amazing to have a steady stream of income from the comfort of my home!

Hey everyone,

I’m Bruno Confortin, from Brazil.
I’m a 25-year-old front-end developer at a local company and I am in the last year of the university’s ā€œSystem’s Analysis and Developmentā€ course.

I’m learning how to code because that’s what I want for my career.

I’m currently learning how to code using online courses, such as Alura.com.br, FreeCodeCamp, Udemy, Udacity, Stack Overflow and others, as well as in the university.

Little struggle here and there, but I am managing it.
Cheers
