Presumably if you google ‘best SEO course’, the one at the top of the search rankings was at least better at getting to the top of the search rankings against others claiming to be the best.

To be honest I never took like a formal online course or something like that in SEO. I went to a few really good conferences and seminars that gave me an understanding of how things work in SEO. The best learning process for me is when I actually do things using tools and evaluating results.
I believe that until you start getting your hands into stuff - non of the courses or guidance help.
