What would happen I copied my code of an already completed and submitted project, edit it on my VS code, re-copy and paste it back on my FCC project interface?

If notice some distortions on the result of my project that has already been completed and submitted, can I

  1. copy the code to my VS code,
  2. edit the code by fixing the notice bug,
  3. reset that particular project,
  4. copy the edited code and
  5. paste it back on the FCC code editor?

Can I do that?
Would there be any penalty to it?

There is no penalty. I do that all the time but maybe save the old version on fcc till you are ready to resubmit a newer one.
