Could not link Microsoft account on Free C# Certification

Hi @aribajawed163, and welcome to the forums!

Be sure that you have a transcript link that looks similar to this:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/users/YOURUSERNAME/transcript/XXXXXXX

This link comes from a Share Link button on the Microsoft Transcript page.

If you do not see a share link menu option here, you haven’t created your shareable transcription link, which must be done first.

You must have a Share Link on your main transcription page and that is the link you will use to link your account. It must have an appended id with a bunch of random characters at the end.

You will only get this link via the Share Link pop up as shown in the picture below.

Also, as a side note, be sure you have completed all the tasks in the learning modules on Microsoft’s learning platform, and then, come back to FreeCodeCamp to verify the trophy. Every task within every module needs to be completed in each part of the learning modules in order for your trophy to be verified.

I couldn’t find any Share Link button

I have completed every task of this part.

I would also like no know how to solve this issue. When I log into Microsoft Learn I am seeing the same options as Ariba Jawed.

Hi @graspergazon and @aribajawed163, make sure you complete all the steps on the Microsoft side too.

See details here:

im having the same problem as i completed the quiz and modules on Microsoft side

Solution:

follow this link: Install and configure Visual Studio Code - Training | Microsoft Learn
complete the module
then “share links” will be visible

Solution : " [Could not link Microsoft account on Free C# Certification]

You must complete " Write Your First Code Using C#" in Microsoft training.

All sections of each requirement must have a green check mark next to it. Also, you need to obtain all trophies for each training.

Happy Coding!
