Developing for web3

There is a lot of talk and activity about web3 these days and as a new developer I’m wondering if I should still continue learning HTML CSS and JavaScript?

Will new web 3 technologies replace the current building blocks of the internet anytime soon?

Still worth going deep with studying JS?

How should I see new web3 technologies start unfolding?

It’s PR for systems based on Ethereum and there’s currently very few practical applications. That notwithstanding, nowhere does it suggest browsers aren’t a key part, they’re how you interact with the web. So even if Ethereum blockchain-based technology magically became an actual generally useful thing tomorrow and everything magically switched to using it, nothing would change practically from a browser side in terms of needing to use browser technologies.
