Does anyone else think ipad/tablet is the most annoying to make a responsive web design for?

I have iphone/phone screens down and of course desktop is easiest, but I am really struggling with ipads because I don’t have one on hand to test out what the web page will look like and using devtools on my laptop IS SOOOOOOO ANNOYING AND IT IS NOT EVEN ACCURATE ???

Do you guys think most people use ipads??? I hope not

I think many uses, who needs a portable display larger than a phones.
Like for constructions it´s easier to handle a tablet, instead of a laptop wich get´s dirty easily, you can just swipe a tablet display and done (if really needed).
I brought a house last year and almost every company came with a tablet instead of folders or papers.

We (I and my family) use tablet during bedtime instead of a tv for reduced light, because it´s part of ones bedtime routine.
We use tablet when we are not home and I even have wireless keyboard too.

Overall, tablets are easier to carry and maintain during trips and answering a question:
It´s like accessibility. Not most people are disabled, but we have to take care of them too. Imagine the same logic with tablets.
I use devtools too for testing, but for the iPad we have the measurements seems to be correct.

Hi @Rc2025 ,

Have you tried using the device emulation available in your browser’s dev tools? There are three iPad settings there to test with.

I do use it but I still feel uncertain and feel insecure about my designs. I’ll be getting an actual ipad or tablet soon to test it out.

Okay so I really gotta stay sharp about how things look on ipad/tablet too ughhhhhhhhhhhh okayyyyy I see now. This is a good example. I am a laptop/phone only user but I have friends who use ipads. Well time to go fix everything or see what needs fixing. So far I really like what I can do on desktop and phone screens.

Hi @Rc2025

You can also resize the browser on your laptop to mimic a tablet size.

DevTools is the best for emulating a tablet.

Tablet size is just one of the issues. Others are the browser, the browser version. Check online for the breakpoints for various devices.

Happy coding

Thank you maybe I will do that from now on. And yes I do check for browsers like old ones vs new ones and I change my animations depending on it
