First Steps — Not Sure Where to Start, but Glad to Be Here

Hey campers,

Just joined the forum after spending some time with the freeCodeCamp curriculum — and wow, there’s a lot to take in. Between the projects, certifications, and all the amazing discussions happening here, I figured it was time to stop lurking and say hello.

I’m somewhere between beginner and “dangerously curious” — tinkering with JavaScript, exploring APIs, and trying to wrap my head around React. I’ve also got a few side ideas brewing that I’d love to eventually build into something real.

Honestly, I’m not sure where to jump in here. Should I start by sharing a project? Asking for feedback? Joining a challenge? If anyone has tips for navigating the forum or connecting with others at a similar stage, I’d really appreciate it.

Looking forward to learning with you all — and hopefully contributing something useful along the way.

I would like to suggest you join the discord server as you can chat more freely there

Mostly on the forum we engage with people who need help with their code or are asking for feedback of some kind. So you can take a look at old posts to get a feel for what that looks like in the different subforums.
