Fixing the "lost progress on account" problem

If your progress appears to be reset, it’s probably because you accidentally created a duplicate account. All of your old data should still be stored within freeCodeCamp’s databases.

Here’s how you can fix this:

  1. Sign out.
  2. Try to sign in using the email address you used the first time.

In the past, we allowed sign in using Facebook, Twitter, Google, and LinkedIn. You may want to try signing in with these as well, just in case you originally signed up using one of these.

If you can’t figure out how to get back into your account, you can just resubmit any required projects you’ve already completed, and reclaim any certificates you had.
