Freelancing Programmer tips for beginners

Hello!
I signed up for freelancing a few weeks ago, so I can start working with the HTML5/CSS3 knowledge I learnt here on freeCodeCamp, (and some knowledge on Bootstrap), since I’ve worked on a few web site projects. However, I have not succeeded in winning bids, especially since there are a lot of professionals. Is it possible to get tips on freelancing, and also the best sites? I’ve been using Freelancer and PeoplePerHour
Thank you!

Hi @qwerty123 !

I can share some freecodecamp articles.

But I would definitely learn javascript and learn least one library or framework like react or angular.
Then I would build some projects with that in mind.

The more skills and knowledge you have the better you will be able to compete in the marketplace.

Just keep learning and growing.

As you build up your skill base and have more projects to show then you will probably start to see a difference in clients wanting to work with you.

Hope that helps!
