Hello there impassioned Campers! I hope this post finds you well and ready for some good vibes. Do you have a recent real-life happy ending to share? Big or small, a story that just made your day or changed things for the better? Drop your tale of triumph below!
Speaking of triumphs, I’m trying to keep up my study momentum (juggling that with hobbies, you know the drill!). I managed three solid hours yesterday and today (Mon-Fri goal). What are your best hacks to keep this momentum going? Can’t wait to read your advice!
It is great that you are passionate about learning programming.
I began to learn a few years back, in my late 60s.
Now, it excites me when I go to my own websites, on a few different platforms.
Viewing what I can create through code learned here on freeCodeCamp.org, while using some other sites for complementary guidance.
I recently published a site on WordPress with some of my original poetry.
It felt good. I still have lots of work to do on it. But, it is exciting.
To me, keeping going, is about what I want to create.
If I do not keep up the studies, I do not progress to improve my skills to meet my vision of how my site will look.
Free Code Camp Inc has been a blessing, challenging, and inspiration to keep progressing, along the way - some days are good, some days are ‘What’s going on here?’ and some are ‘Wow! That is fantastic!’ days.
At one time, I had the Learn platform set as my homepage. That way I was reminded constantly.
Huge props for your focus streak. Balancing study and hobbies is tough. Love the energy in your post, it’s really motivating to read.
Congrats on keeping up the study streak! Three solid hours two days in a row is no small thing. For me, what helps keep the momentum going is a “just 10 more minutes” mindset, even when I’m tired, I promise myself a small chunk, and often end up doing more.
