I have just started the Relational Database Certification path. And I plan to pass also Data visualization and Data Analysis with Python paths.
My target is to master the following fields: Data Warehousing, ETL, Data Visualization(Power BI and Tableau), Pyhton and Linux as well.
I seek to get quickly hands on expertise to land a job as soon as possible. As a freelance here on freecodecamp or inside a team project or company, I am open.
I will appreciate to get your guidance and experiences sharing in order to understand the challenges and prepare the best road map ever.
Thanks for your revert. Maybe you can guide me in the correct direction.
I have read that on freecocamp, we can be helped to land a job.
I am here to learn of course, but I am also honnest with what I target.
There are many career guidance articles on the net.
The path is is not linear.
For web development in particular, search for the roles you are interested in. There are some good articles about the various fields and pathways you can take. Alternatively you can search job boards for the in-demand skills employers are looking for. Try and overlay your interests and passions with the current job market.
Many jobs are not advertised, so you’ll need to develop a network of contacts who can give you referrals if you seek to land a job quickly. Contact the HR departments of companies or organisations where you’d like to work. Ask them what hard and soft skills they seek and what they look for in candidates.
Contact developers in the fields you’d like to work in and ask them what the realities of the day to day are like.
I have heard that freelancing is very competitive, and the pay can be low, even if you are very highly skilled. However, you may find a niche that works for you.
