I’m brand new to all of this. Apart from a few other online tutorials all I’ve done is just about finish the Responsive Web Design certification here on fCC.
I’ve read a lot of people swearing by mentorship and wanted to know when the right time to look for one would be, as well as where to find one. Is free mentorship a thing? If not what is a reasonable price?
If you have any other advice about steps to take, or links to some solid foundational advice I’d love to hear it.
Hey Matthew,
I’m also new to all of this, just finished the responsive web dev certificate, and I’m also looking for ways to practice and get feedback.
I found a community that may be what you’re looking for: Hack Pledge (just add . org for the website)
It seems to be a free mentoring exchange network. I don’t know if it really works, and how good it is, but may be worth for you to give it a try!
Let me know how it goes!
Mentorship is something good, especially when taking online classes. Unfortunately FCC and some other sites do not offer one. For those offering that, like Udacity, the cost is a bit high.
You can use this forum in case you encounter some issue on your learning. I am offering mentorship for beginners on Whatsapp. You can also want to join this mentorship program.
