My concern about what i should start with in programing and i started some classes of C++

i am a pharmacist , i am almost thirty years old and i am interested to learn coding and i started a course of C++ few days ago and i learned some info and somehow get used to it but when i asked my CS majored friends they make me feel regret “you should have started with Java or Python” and friend said “GPT will replace us all” so i got to omuch disappointments, i don’t know what should i do?! should i finish what i already started??? (i would like to do this if it is not a waste of time)
or should i delete all C++ material and programs downloaded and try to concentrate on any other OOP language like java ?? I am so confused and i want to learn Coding well so i can get benefit and work as a freelancer (my first choice) or for a corporate if possible (but it will be my second priority)
thanks in advance. sorry it took that long

It won’t

Its fine to start with C++, but JavaScript and Python are generally considered more beginner friendly. If you want to learn if you like programming but you don’t have a particular sort of thing in mind that you want to create, these languages are good options.

so its fine to finish what i already started , thanks
