QA Advanced Node and Express - Social Strategy

Last few challenges that use github login to get social Authorization has a bug:
The file Flavicon that is loaded in pug.index is generating an error, and when I look up that page, it shows it doesn’t exist. This is linked in the last few challenges.

My app runs, logs in with Github, (which works as I console log out the github profile successfully), but fails on the success redirect.

This is the file:
https://glitch.com/favicon-app.ico

Here in pug.index:

link#favicon(rel='icon', href='https://hyperdev.com/favicon-app.ico', type='image/x-icon')

giving this error:

boilerplate-socialauth-github.pauloconnell.repl.co/:1 Mixed Content: The page at 'https://boilerplate-socialauth-github.pauloconnell.repl.co/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure favicon 'http://glitch.com/favicon-app.ico'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

I saw that it referenced using http instead of https…but either way the actual page seems to not exist, so mute point?

Any ideas of where to find an updated Flavicon link?

my app:
https://boilerplate-socialauth-github.pauloconnell.repl.co/

Thanks
Paul

Hello again.

Glitch adds a bunch of things it uses to keep track of the files and styling, and what-not. So, one thing you could do to prevent any further problems in Repl.it, is delete these files, and references to Glitch items.

  • the link to the favicon
  • .hyperdev-assets
  • potentially .bashrc (I do not think the project or Repl.it require this)

Hope this helps
