I was wondering if had a for a project I could do a small technical documentation page on. I don’t want to just do javascript like the example one.

You can choose whatever topic you like for the technical document page as long as it passes the user stories.
I personally wrote about C programing languages.

All the RWD project instructions say to make your project functionally similar to the sample and to give it your own personal style.
Pick subjects that interest you. Make the projects from scratch, with your own code, style and content. Don’t take code from the sample project.

My recommendation is to choose a topic that you had some trouble with while learning to code and had to research. This will put your research to good use and help you understand the topic better.

That’s a great suggestion. I personally learned a lot by doing my on C. ( Malloc and pointers still give me a headache though 
)
