Hi. Uni module choice question.
This is a link to a past exam paper: https://myopenacuk-my.sharepoint.com/personal/conrad_rzucidlo_my_open_ac_uk/_layouts/15/guestaccess.aspx?folderid=0521c6da0ca1646ffa3b0ef9c68bcf4e6&authkey=AXhtKuK6L-iM-hUalWZHEKA
and this is a link to taster material: http://mcs.open.ac.uk/computing/M256-taster-material.pdf
This module gets reviews as outdated and too academic. It’s 300 hours worth, of a lot of graph reading, graph drawing and theory, with not much actual coding.
Now I’ve got OOP, Java, Python, algorithms and data structures already covered at Uni and I’m very satisified, compared to lets say trying to learn that at home by just self-studying.
Is it really that outdated? Would you recommend for me to take it?
