What is the first book every front end developer hopeful should read?

I have been coding for a few months and despite completing HTML,CSS,Bootstrap, I feel “lost”. I am starting JQuery today, but I don’t feel like I’ve had my “aha” moment. I really need some reading resources to aid me and understanding basic concepts.
