About the Certification-Projects category

On this subforum you can ask questions about the certification projects in the https://freeCodeCamp.org/learn curriculum.

Each of freeCodeCamp’s 6 certifications has 5 required certification projects. You can build these projects using whatever tools you want, then submit their URLs at https://www.freecodecamp.org/settings.

Hi, I just finished all projects from the Responsive Web Design section, and I’ve seen that it was issued a certificate which I cannot access it… I’m getting this message when clicking on the certification button:
“…has chosen to make their certifications private. They will need to make their certifications public in order for others to be able to view them.”
I checked my profile settings, and my certifications are made public so I don’t see where the issue is. Can anyone guide me on how to access the certificate? Thanks!

I have created:
1.Tribute Page
2.Survey Form
3.A Product Landing Page
4.Technical Documentation Page
I have submitted the URL from Codepen but my projects don’t update that I have completed the challenge.

I already submit it 2 and I got lil bit confused in the 3rd one about: Responsive Web Design Projects - Build a Technical Documentation.
It will take time from me more than usual :frowning_face:

@maliciouscode254 Do try resubmitting the projects and just to be sure you can go to your profile and check if your submissions have been counted.

@neszly.norbert
Do check out if all these three are public.

@Bild96 Don’t worry keep at it. Remember you have an entire community supporting you here. Also there are many who have already done this part so you can do it too. Cheers

    <h1>Bitcoin Cash</h1>
    <p>A better money, is a Digital currency that can be used by anyone, anywhere, anytime.
</p>
    <p>Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash
Enabling new economies with low fee micro-transactions, large business transactions, and permissionless spending.</p>

<h2>About</h2>
<p>Bitcoin Cash brings sound money to the world, fulfilling the original promise of Bitcoin as "Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash". Merchants and users are empowered with low fees and reliable confirmations. The future shines brightly with unrestricted growth, global adoption, permissionless innovation, and decentralized development.<br>All Bitcoin holders as of block 478558 are also owners of Bitcoin Cash. All are welcome to join the Bitcoin Cash community as we move forward in creating sound money accessible to the whole world.</p>

<h2>Start Here</h2>
<p>The two easiest ways to get Bitcoin Cash is to buy or work for it. Buying Bitcoin Cash is the most used and convenient way, where all you have to do is sign up for a Bitcoin exchange and deposit funds so you can convert it to Bitcoin Cash. The exchange will send you Bitcoin Cash after the trade has occurred. The other option is to earn Bitcoin Cash by working for it, for example finding a job on a job board that pays in Bitcoin Cash or creating your own service (selling t-shirts for example) and earning Bitcoin Cash.</p>

<h2>Wallet</h2>
<p>Getting started with Bitcoin Cash is super easy. The first step is to download a wallet so that you can begin participating in the Bitcoin economy. Most wallets are free to download and are easy to use that have a few key features such as sending, receiving, storing funds securely, transaction lookups, and more.</p>

<h2>Graphics</h2>
<p>Promotional Graphics: These Bitcoin Cash logos and brand assets can be used for display in online services, retail establishments, press or other promotional purposes.

You have most of the basic structure in place. So it basically just applying the running the testing scripts on codepen and fixing all the tasks accordingly.

One thing that i can immediately point out is you need to place the footer tag inside the closing body tag. The closing body tag </body> will only be preceded by the </html> tag.

@colorscodex If the navbar must be fixed at the top of the viewport, try using position: fixed; and then give that fixed navbar container a top property of zero, top: 0;.

Best of luck!

U need to update your account settings there you will get option about public and private change the setting to private only then you will be able to access your certificate.

Hii, sorry this is not related to your question but can you tell me where to find the projects. I am new here and i don’t know where to find the topics of projects.

After submitting the project of all i didn’t receive any certificate yet

Hi Mr. Quiny! I just finished the challenge for a web designer, but I don’t know how to get the certificate! Can you please explain this to me?
Thank you!

@cats77

Hi Mr. Larson. I’ve completed and submitted all the projects for the Responsive Web Design Certification, but still yet to receive a certification/confirmation on my profile. Any instructions on what i should do?

Hey, I’m starting to wonder, if the ML with Python certificate projects might contain errors: The KNN Book recommendation isn’t really clearly defined. There are various ways to define similarity between books, and none of the usual ones gives the same results as in the test.
In the case of the linear regression (Ridge) for medical costs, I tried all possible combinations of input variables and don’t nearly get the results necessary to pass even on the training data (never mind the test data)…
Would be grateful for any inputs…
Thanks
Mike

When you are done coding, check the bottom left corner. You will see a ‘fork’ button. click it to save your code. Then copy the link again and open it in a different tab, your code will appear. You can post your solution to the forum.

Thanks a lot! My code is here: https://colab.research.google.com/drive/1CaswDPXqmL4LMeTKvSrmLAV4sFCvE7At?usp=sharing
After fixing some minor bugs, I now have a result, that is quite close to the test case, but still not the same :frowning: And the test function looks a bit weird:
My result is now:

[“Where the Heart Is (Oprah’s Book Club (Paperback))”, [[‘The Lovely Bones: A Novel’, 0.7514198], [‘I Know This Much Is True’, 0.7946582], [‘The Weight of Water’, 0.8065741], [‘The Surgeon’, 0.8090494], [“I’ll Be Seeing You”, 0.8338003]]]

The only problem is ‘The Lovely Bones: A Novel’ should not be there according to the test case, on the other hand it says, you should have 5 nearest neighbours, but there are only 4 in the testcase (unless the original input also counts), also it seems, only 2 of the testcases are checked, not all 4 or 5:

for i in range(2):

I’ve tried pretty much everything I could think of like
replacing NA values by the mean rating
replacing implicit (zero) ratings by the mean etc.
Unfortunately the results are even further away from the test cases…

Hi I need help with something. Is it possible for you to delete my Tribute Website project for the Responsive Web Design section? I did it carelessly just to meet all the requirements and would like to restart and put forth more effort to possibly put it on my public portfolio. If you can do that, that would be great! Thank you, and sorry for the bother!!
