Finished the course in Responsive Web design

I have yet to build a portfolio page and it looks like I have to have a github account (which I do)

Where have you gone after finishing the course? Applied for jobs (?) went onto javascript or something else?

My pages are plain. I am thinking of learning javascript and maybe enhancing my html/css skills before I send a portfolio out there.

advice?

Hi @Susan626 !

I would say to do both of those things and more. :grinning:

It is important to remember that the junior developer market is really competitive.

The more skills you have, the better you will be able to compete and land a job.

If you are interested in web development, learning JavaScript is a must.

If I were you, I would continue on and do the JavaScript course and front end certifications.

Then you can build projects on your own after that and put together a portfolio.

Also, it would help if you learn a little backend too.
Any little bit helps when standing out amongst the pool of junior devs. :grinning:

Hope that helps!

That does help thank you!

I had a feeling there was more to do:D
