Just build a whole bunch of stuff.
The majority of your projects will be small and just for practice but that is ok.
When you are first learning, just focus on building up your coding skills, research skills and debugging skills.
That is what matters.
That is what you will do on the job.
Build a project
Get feedback
Apply that feedback
Move onto the next project
Repeat the process over again
When I was first learning I built tons of stuff just for practice. With each project, I would build on complexity and try to challenge myself even more.
For practice, build the certification projects from freeCodeCamp.
Build some of the projects from the interview prep section
Here are a couple more resources you could use for practice
When it comes time to apply for jobs, showcase your top 3-4 projects that you built and put a lot of time into. For these projects, build something that interests you. Music, art, food, etc. Build an app around something you care about. It doesn’t need to be perfect because employers aren’t looking for that. Just build something that took some care and time.
