Looking for a Mentor or someone to point me in the right direction

The title says most of it, i have been practicing at a pretty solid pace. I’ve devoted close to every free minute i have studying about coding in general, but i feel my learning experience would benefit greatly from someone in the community pointing me in the direction of different sights, languages to learn, projects to reinforce my skills etc. I know there isn’t much glory in mentoring me, its unpaid but i do have a great deal of passion for coding as a whole.
My endgame is to land a job in this field.
my experience to date

  • introductory course to computer science from mit’s opensourceware (language used was python, pycharm was what i used) i had to rewatch the majority of the videos and struggled on the assignments.
  • a bunch of youtube videos
  • and this coding camp

all and all about a month of 2 or more hours a day put in currently feel like im making strides in html and css but i know this is merely the tip of the iceberg and the real work hasn’t even started

any advice or direction into learning resources for free or a minimal cost would be extremely helpful

I thank you all in advace

I am new myself. Just wanted to give you shout out ! Networking/mentorshipp is the hardest thing as a newbie. I live in a very rural area so MeetUps and just proximity for mentoring, etc. are not feasible for me.

Have you looked at https://exercism.io/?

Have you looked up your area in the forum? Many US cities and other areas worldwide are starting their own FCC study groups! Perhaps your local region has one you can attend?
