Would like some feedback from you guys! (Portfolio)

Hey guys!

I’ve spent this last week learning HTML and CSS and have completed all of the lessons! This is my Portfolio Page. I would love everyone’s input!

I feel like sometimes I overcomplicate my CSS but other than that I’m loving this and am learning something new with every project I do, whether that’s from FCC or from troubleshooting what I want to make happen.

(also note, I mention JavaScript and Python but I have 0 experience in that, It’s mostly just for something to write - I’m learning those next!)

Feel free to share yours for me to take a look at too if you’d like!

Hi Chelsea. Your project sections seems to be skewed to the right of the page.

I also would recommend having the sections start near the top of the page vice in the middle when clicking a link on the navbar. i.e. when I click “about” it jumps to the “About” section but it starts in the middle of the page which causes me to scroll to finish reading it.

So you started this month and you already know 4 programming languages. How in the world did you do that?

Hi @jfirestorm4 thanks for taking a look and replying.

Would you be able to post a screenshot of what you’re experiencing?

For me when I click “about” it loads in the middle with space around it, similar to how my name is in the above section. Also, my Projects are centred for me too.

These are what I see, do you see differently?

I only know HTML and CSS at the moment but I’m in the process of learning Python and JavaScript right now! I’m furloughed and very bored so I’m getting through it haha!

I did look at HTML/CSS at the beginning of last year but didn’t have a lot of time to focus on it and I ended up stopping after a few days. I spent this week going back over it and completing the projects and it clicked a little more this time! :grinning:

I’m using a Mac Air and Chrome browser.

I should also add although I’m using a Mac I am using Windows through bootcamp. Not sure if it matters.

@jfirestorm4 thanks for sharing. I’ll look into it, not sure why that happened or how to fix it but I’ll hopefully figure it out! :sweat_smile:
